I do not think any of us realized just how much our life was going to change over the course of the next year.
So now were are here still living in the beautiful state of Wyoming, but on the other side of Yellowstone. I thought I should start a blog so that all of those who want to see what kind of trouble the Wyoming Newmans are creating, you can!
This is a picture of the lake that is about a 20 minute drive. It is a cross between the Grand Canyon and Lake Powell. We have not had the opportunity to take the boat out yet, but are hoping to this Saturday. We will keep you posted.
Jake is going to join some of the Lovell basketball players with their goal of taking 10,000 shots this summer. This leaves him with a workout of 168 shots each day, broken up by doing 8 drills or set of 20 shots (not really sure how to word that). Zeke and Sami usually join him, just with a less intensive workout. Fortunately for me, the park is just at the bottom of the hill where we live. In fact, I am less that 2 miles from EVERYTHING I need.
At the same park the town has a small kiddie pool, just for kids under the age of 8. Even thought the water is only 1 foot in depth and very cold, Matthew had enjoyed him self! The town provides a lifeguard and there is not fee, WOW!!! Jake is taking a certification class in August and will be able to life guard next summer. I have told Sami she should call the town and see if they will let her sell popsicles there. We will see what happens.
We did out first of three parades this weekend . . . Like a good neighbor.....
It was a lot of fun. We gave out over 1200 popsicles, 150 water bottles, and 10 shirts. It was fun! I think I have convinced Tom to use the boat for the next two, after all it is red and white. One of our competitors float had a trailer with a new ATV that said "We insure toys." I told him we will put a sign that says "We insure BIGGER toys." We shall see. . . .
Amee had been doing a dance class and they got to dance on a float. She did a good job and had a lot of fun!
We are liking it here, we only wish we could have brought all out friends from Star Valley and that it was not so far from family. However, we didn't and it is. All things considered, we are off to a good start!
